The year of 40 Leaders Under 40's twenty fifth anniversary, I created a layout style for the magazine's cover and inside pages. Combining an image of Peoria's city skyline at night and a series of connecting lines, my goal was to reminisce the style of the line on heart rate monitor, as innovators are the heartbeat of our cities and businesses. The fading descenders of the 4's reference the aesthetic style of the light reflecting on the water below in the cover image.
